Amy and Ian Hicks have received national media attention regarding their one-of-a-kind wedding photos, and ultimately Detroit rap music video, inspired by a coincidental meeting at the abandoned Michigan Central Station.
A photo, which surfaced on Reddit, claimed that the meeting of Detroit rap group 7262 and the Hicks’ wedding party had occurred due to a wrongly-sent text message discussing the party’s meeting place, which sparked a conversation reiterating, “Oh sorry! Not an invite to strangers!” The alleged text conversation infamously ended with the line, “We still coming.”
The series of text messages has been declared a hoax, but it still gained it’s own hashtag across social media – #westillcoming. See the image below:

Regardless of the text conversation hoax, the two parties did meet by coincidence. The Detroit rap group 7262 were filming a music video for their track “Anthem,” right as the Hicks’ and their wedding party arrived for a photo shoot at Michigan Central Station.
The members of 7262 invited the groom, bride and wedding party to participate in the filming of the video, and the rest is history, Watch the video for 7262’s “Anthem” featuring the Hicks wedding party below:
