Combine a giant teddy bear, smiley face balloons, a few snacks, copious amounts of silly string, and the UFO Factory’s notorious Pepto Bismol–pink women’s restroom and what do you get? Both a very bizarre party and the trippy music video for Stef Chura’s newest single, “Slow Motion.”

The track, off of Chura’s upcoming debut album, Messes, features buzzing lo-fi instrumentation and was recorded by Fred Thomas. Molly Soda’s signature brand of digital psychedelia intersects with the early-’90s home video production to complement the song’s analog sound and produce the off-kilter sensation you gets from feeling a little out of control.

The collaboration between friends and roommates Chura and Soda is just one of many examples of emerging artists who are thriving in the digital DIY culture in which we currently exist. Check out the video below and look for Messes in the coming months.
