Michigan-based production house Never Say Die MI has released the highly-anticipated The Living Room Sessions Vol. 2 live album recordings.
The first Living Room Sessions release was focused primarily on musical acts of Northern/Mid-Michigan. The 2013 project featured several private performances which were filmed and recorded live from their separate and secret living-room locations.
The newly-released album from the Detroit set features some of Detroit’s favorite acts, including: Jamaican Queens, Mexican Knives, James Linck, Christopher Jarvis, and J. Walker & The Crossguards. This one-time concert was held at the home of a local-music tastemaker in the Woodbridge neighborhood of Detroit, with a limited number of pre-approved attendees permitted access.
TLRSVol2 will also be accompanied by a one-song music video for each artist in attendance (Jamaican Queens has already seen the release of their video for Wormfood‘s “Caitlin.”) The live-recorded album, mixed by award-winning engineer Ezra Bakker, is free to download and stream via NSD’s Soundcloud.
“Never Say Die is comprised of proud metro-Detroiters,” said co-founder and content creator Leah Castile. “We’re very pleased with how the first session turned out and we thought it was only right to head to Detroit and do it on a grander scale.”
