Movement Electronic Music Festival 2014 began on Saturday with countless electronic super-acts, seas of electronic enthusiasts, and unlike Movement 2013 – dry weather comfortably fluctuating in the 70’s.
The annually-hosted festival brought more than 100,000 attendees to Detroit in 2013, and boasts a six-stage setup in 2014. The stages include: The Red Bull Music Academy stage (the festival’s true amphitheater), the Made in Detroit stage (backs up to E Jefferson), the Moog stage (nestled near the river walk’s Detroit Princess ferry), the Underground stage (which is actually underground), the Silent Disco (where attendees simultaneously listen through headphones), and the Beatport stage (which is virtually on the shore of the Detroit River).

The first day of Movement 2014 featured more than 40 artists from multiple genres of music including: techno, EDM, drum & bass, house, electronic disco, trance, hip hop, and more. Acts generally began slightly-later than scheduled and continued until approximately 12:20 am.
