After making a splash earlier this week with trendspotters by debuting the video for “Ghosttown” on the live-streaming app Meerkat, the Queen of Pop took to more traditional media last night for the ongoing promotion of her latest album, Rebel Heart. The Detroit-native artist appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she performed the Nicki Minaj-featuring single “Bitch I’m Madonna.”
Madonna began the song from her dressing room, danced through the hallway backstage, and then appeared on the studio floor clad in thigh-high fishnet stockings and chains. She was accompanied by Diplo, who helped with production on the track, as well as a security guard and young skateboarder – both of whom lip synced the eponymous lyrics. In addition, Madonna chose a random man from the audience for her classic brand of sexual provocation.

As if this madcap performance weren’t enough, Madge also made her “stand-up comedy debut,” which included many jokes about dating younger men. And to top everything off, she returned to her roots – with The Roots – in a performance of “Holiday” featuring Jimmy Fallon and his house band using only classroom instruments to recreate her 1983 hit single.
