Third Man Records has announced the release of Detroit rocker Jack White’s sophomore-solo album, Lazaretto, in addition to releasing the album’s first track – “High Ball Stepper.”
Lazaretto will be released via Third Man Records/Columbia Records on June 10, and will offer an unprecedented “Vault” treatment.
The 20th installment of TMR’s “Vault” collection will include the only special-edition release of Lazaretto (on split-color vinyl), a 7-inch containing album singles “Alone in My Home” and “Entitlement” (demo versions recorded in Mexico), exclusive album art, a “linen letter-pressed” postcard, and a 40-page book containing musical notations, lyrics, photos and artwork.
The album’s newly-unveiled single “High Ball Stepper” is a crunchy-blues instrumental, during which White’s guitar takes the lead to his all-female backing band – The Peacocks. The single was released along with a new music video, which was co-directed by Third Man co-founder Ben Swank and TMR filmmaker James Cathcart.
