Listeners who haven’t already been sucked in by Gosh Pith’s self-coined brand of “cosmic-trap” can now get lost in the fog of the electronic duo’s new single, “Smoke Bellow.” On this “early morning soundtrack for Detroit’s sleep-deprived ravers,” singer Josh Smith half-raps atop a skittering beat that morphs over the course of the song. Smith and bandmate Josh Freed effortlessly blend hip-hop influences with dreamy chords and unique sounds created from scratch.
“Smoke Bellow” will see an official release in late December, featuring remixes by Detroit’s own Jamaican Queens and fellow producer Jonah Baseball. Catch Gosh Pith at one of their tour dates below and listen to “Smoke Bellow” after the jump:
