Eminem has announced the availability of 200 special-edition, Slim Shady-themed G-Shock watches to be released Tuesday at 2 p.m. (EST) via Eminem.com. According to the Detroit rapper’s Facebook page, approximately 100 have been personally autographed by Eminem.
G-Shock’s partnership with Eminem began in 2013, which celebrated the 30th anniversary of Casio’s tactical model, and Eminem’s MMLP2 release, with multiple Eminem-styled watches. These 2013 models are available at G-Shock’s website for approximately $180.
Casio’s G-Shock has become known for its special-edition releases, as well as collaborations with brands such as: A Bathing Ape (Bape), Stussy, Xlarge, KIKS TYO, Nano Universe, Levi’s, Lifted Research Group, as well as Coca Cola, Pulp68 Skateshop, Lucky Strike and Marlboro.
The G-Shock watch is commonly used by military (NATO, Special Forces and DELTA), firemen, paramedics, police officers, astronauts, sportsmen and adventurers. It’s popularity with these groups can be attributed to its shock-resistant design, water resistant casing, 10-year battery, built-in stopwatch and face light.
