Detroit emcee, and former member of Detroit hip hop super-group Slum Village, looks to fund his newest album, Glow 365, by using the popular crowd-funding website Kickstarter. The project’s Kickstarter page indicates that the $25,000 venture has already received more than $15,000 in contributions.
Elzhi’s team is offering more than 30 Kickstarter reward packages to fit any budget. “Backer” rewards include, but are not limited to:
$5 – Receive a single from the new album before it is available
$10 – Receive the exclusive digital download of the new album
$25 – Receive a special-edition CD of the new album (includes “backer-only” booklet, photos and bonus tracks)
$50 – Elzhi “G.O.A.T.” (backer-only) hoodie and special-edition download
$50 – Elzhi limited edition autographed vinyl and special edition download
$250 – Join Elzhi on-stage for his concert in Detroit, Chicago or San Francisco
Other rewards include Elzhi’s entire discography, limited-edition vinyl recordings (Elmatic feat. Will Sessions), house party appearances, music video cameos… and more.
The Glow 365 project has nine days left to raise its funding, which totals (as of 12 p.m., 11-26-13) approximately $9,700.
