Detroit will enjoy an extraordinary holiday-film experience, as the Detroit Symphony Orchestra will provide the live soundtrack for a special screening of Home Alone at Orchestra Hall, on December 17.
The performance will be led by Sarah Hicks and feature the unforgettable sounds of John Williams’ Christmastime Home Alone soundtrack, and the hilarity provided on a High Definition screen by Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. The film’s highly-acclaimed director, John Hughes, who is also responsible for such films as: The Breakfast Club, Christmas Vacation, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Uncle Buck and others, was born in Lansing, Michigan, and raised in Grosse Pointe.
Available Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. performance of Home Alone, on Wednesday, December 17, are expected to sell out.
