The Adult Contemporary artist lofts at 1217 Griswold in Capitol Park have been deemed unlivable. (Legally.)

Dan Gilbert’s Bedrock Real Estate Services purchased the art house and legendary techno venue in October, but this month brought some bad news. Due to multiple violations of city building codes, residents would be asked to leave at the end of February.

Gilbert has offered a discounted stay at his Greektown Casino Hotel for up to 30 days for any displaced residents, in addition to a $2000 relocation settlement. Gilbert’s plans for Capitol Park’s redevelopment includes space for art installations and a venue for emerging artists.

In wake of the recent condemnation of Adult Contemporary‘s loft space, the organization has announced one final concert to be played at the live-in art gallery/skate park/concert venue. The two-day concert will begin at 9:30 pm and end around 4 am both Friday and Saturday (2/21 – 2/22). There is a requested charge of $5 for each night’s show at the door.
