DATSWOTSUP! is scheduled to host two of the UK’s electronic hard-hitters this Saturday in Detroit.
Dubstep all-stars DJ Hatcha and Youngsta, arguably two of the most influentional pioneers of UK grime, will grace the Motor City with their iconic styling as part of a 2014 tour stop at The Works in Detroit.
DJ Hatcha’s direct influence on the dupstep genre is impossible to ignore. Starting with inspiration from 90s garage, and eventually landing him a spot within London’s legendary DJ collective Forward>>, Hatcha was asked to mix the infamous release Dubstep Allstars vol 1. His contributions to the genre have continued as he currently hosts a flagship show on London’s Kiss 100 radio.
Detroit’s February 15 concert is the only 2014 tour performance to feature both DJ Hatcha and Youngsta performing simultaneously – for four hours. Synonymous with bringing legendary UK acts to Detroit, DATSWOTSUP!’s past artists have included: Joker, N-Type and Coki.
