Bob Dylan’s 1965 classic, “Like A Rolling Stone,” has been revived with an intensely interactive music video featuring Drew Carey, Mark Maron, and Detroit’s own Danny Brown.

Created by the creative agency Interlude, the video consists of 16 “channels” which can be flipped-through to display different personalities lip-syncing to Dylan’s legendary tune. The channels remain synced, so the song remains in tact, however, the jumbled television-based medium offers viewers several complete videos in one.

The video “channels” include: The Price is Right, a cooking program, a QVC-style infomercial, a cartoon, a tennis match, a local news report, Pawn Stars, a 1966 performance of Dylan and the Hawks and Danny Brown leisurely swinging on a swing set. The visual’s jarring changes hold a mirror to television-based music culture, and comment on the diverse reach of the well-known, 48-year-old folk song.

Brown’s channel is interlaced with his signature animated flair, reminiscent of the video for his Old track “Dip.” He swings on a vertigo-inducing swing set, walks empty street corners and eats several different portable food types – all while his outfits change continuously.

“You’re flipping yourself to death with switching channels.” Interlude CEO Yoni Bloch told Mashable. “You’ll always miss something because you can’t watch everything at the same time.”

This visual experiment for Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone” arrives as he completes his European tour. The video was created to accompany his box set, The Complete Album Collection Volume 1, which includes 35 official albums, six live albums and two previously-unreleased Dylan CDs.
