As part of April 19th’s annual Record Store Day, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. have announced a performance at Royal Oak Music Theatre that asks attendees pay a startling ticket price – 89 cents.
Record Store Day is an annual event celebrated on the third Saturday of each April. The musical holiday pays homage to vinyl records and the (mostly local) establishments that stock and sell them.
The last two years, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. have celebrated Record Store Day by playing hometown shows at the Majestic Complex. Record Store Day 2014 marks the duo’s third consecutive year performing in Detroit on the holiday, but this year’s show (with electronic/pop/R&B act Tunde Olaniran) will undoubtedly be the most affordable.
Tickets for Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.’s April 19 Record Store Day performance will be made available this Friday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day) at 12 p.m., through Royal Oak’s Music Theatre box office, online and at Royal Oak’s own UHF Records. Tickets will be offered for a whopping $0.89.
