In conjunction with Detroit’s highly-anticipated Movement Electronic Music Festival 2014, music software giant Ableton and synthesizer and electronics space Detroit Modular will host the Movement Education Sessions on Friday, May 23 (7 pm – 10 pm).
The free seminar is scheduled to include local artist presentations, the discussion of new music-making approaches with Ableton experts, and Ableton-related giveaways. Certified Trainers and Ableton representatives will be in attendance as the three-hour session explores sound composition, music design, production techniques and performances utilizing Ableton Live, Max for Live, and Push software platforms.
Ableton Certified Trainer, sound designer, and Chicago percussionist Thomas Faulds is scheduled to attend, among other industry guests.
German music software company Ableton was founded in 1999, and released its first version of the renowned Live platform in 2001. The company also produces a hardware component, Push, which is designed to use in cooperation with Live software. Ableton Live is currently on its ninth version, with three available versions in production: Ableton Live, Ableton Suite, and Ableton Live Intro.
