At this week’s 2015 Automobile Aftermarket Industry Week, hosted in Las Vegas annually during the first week of November, Chevrolet took the prize for “most patriotic super-duty” (not a real award) with a tribute to Detroit’s own Kid Rock.

During the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, geared towards aftermarket product buyers and concept enthusiasts, Chevy revealed three massive Silverado 3500HD variations. The most adventurous of the limited-edition, November 2 rollout, was Chevy’s star-spangled Kid Rock edition, which sports a custom chrome grill and exhaust stacks, 22-inch custom chrome wheels, a Duramax 6.6L turbo-diesel engine, a “Born Free” logo, and a Kid Rock inscription near the rear wheels.

General Motors invited Kid Rock to visit the Flint assembly plant where the Silverado is manufactured in May of 2015, during which the five-time Grammy Award nominee spoke with members of UAW Local 598. “My personal thought is to make something that is cool with a few small things that still keeps it in reach of the working class guy,” Kid Rock said during his visit.
