In an attempt to spark excitement for the 2015-2016 season, the Detroit Pistons front office has shared a promotional video featuring all things Detroit.
The two-minute plus video, which premiered on the comedy website Funny or Die, follows the tumultuous journey of a Detroit Pistons game basketball as it travels across the city of Detroit – stopping along the way to greet notable Detroiters and national celebrities alike. The spot is carried by Four Tops’ 1966 Motown hit-single “Reach Out I’ll Be There” and begins with a faux broadcast from Local 4 WDIV.
The cameo-riddled short includes appearances by: Eminem (and his “mom’s spaghetti”), Big Sean, Kid Rock, HBO’s John Oliver, Trick Trick, Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard, Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson, actor Ken Jeong, the Motown Museum, CeeLo Green, Walking Dead star Steven Yeun, The Redford Theatre, The Heidelberg Project (Polka Dot House), The Detroit Zoo, Andre Drummond, Pistons owner Tom Gores, and more.
