On Wednesday, July 1, Stephen Colbert made a surprise appearance on Monroe Public Access Cable Television (MPACT)’s monthly program Only in Monroe. He didn’t just show up – he hosted all 41 minutes.
After enjoying some seasonal wine with the program’s regular hosts, the late-night funny man brought out Michigan’s hip hop giant Eminem. The two proceeded to conduct an awkward, yet incredibly homegrown interview, which covered topics ranging from I-75 traffic to Will Smith and Bone Thugs n’ Harmony. (The whole stunt seems to be tied to promotional efforts surrounding the soon-to-air Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
