Legendary Detroit house icon Andrés (aka DJ Dez Andrés) has announced that he will release his first new music in three years. In 2012, “New for U” put the former Slum Village and Moodymann associate in high demand among the electronic music cognoscenti. Since then the artist has kept busy DJ’ing, putting out remixes, and collaborating with others but had not created any original material — until now.
Andrés, who is normally signed to Mahogani Music, will return to his own La Vida imprint to put out his new single, “Believin'”, in March. The 12″ marks the third entry to the label, which has previously released two tracks of tropical, sample-based Detroit house.
