As previously reported, a track-by-track archive of Detroit rocker Jack White’s performance last Friday at New York’s Madison Square Garden is now available to stream via Pandora. His show was notable for not only featuring Run the Jewels (El-P and Run the Jewels) in the opening slot — a set that included surprise guests such as Zach De La Rocha on “Close Your Eyes (And Count to Fuck)” — but for connecting White’s love of blues with hip-hop in his own set list.
This was most notable when he welcomed Q-Tip to the stage to help him out with “That Black Bat Licorice” as well as the classic Tribe Called Quest track “Excursions.” The 23-song set was balanced between White’s solo material, songs by The White Stripes and The Raconteurs, and the aforementioned Tribe cover.
