Detroit’s favorite funk collective will soon have its own signature drink – Will Sessions Stout – thanks to Black Lotus Brewery in Clawson.
Will Sessions, the resident band of Motor City Funk Night, announced the new drink and its corresponding launch event on Twitter. Black Lotus Brewery will host the release party for the new locally-inspired libation, which will feature a live performance by Will Sessions and plenty of local beer on November 22.
Black Lotus describes the funk-fueled brew as “an American oak bourbon-soaked stout.” Details regarding the amount of Will Sessions Stout to be brewed have not yet been released, as this variety may be a very limited (local) release.
The Black Lotus Brewery’s Will Sessions Stout release party is free to enter, with doors opening at 9 p.m. and the live sounds of funk beginning at 10 p.m.
