In a rare daytime TV appearance, Detroit-native Jack White performed his Lazaretto track “Alone in My Home,” and spoke with Ellen DeGeneres about raising two kids and his recent touring war-wounds.
White, who has two children (ages 7 and 8), shared with the Ellen audience that his kids only play with “mechanical” toys.
“No video games,” White said. “You can’t have video games in the house, but we’ll buy a pinball game for you. It’s hard to do nowadays.”
White was also asked about his recent mishap while touring in the California Bay-Area, which threatened his performance-circuit’s continuation. Though Oakland A’s physical therapists told White his injury would be classified as a 21-week disabled-list injury, he expressed his dislike for canceling anything.
