Following a series of highly-publicized legal quarrels, Electric Forest promoters at AEG Live have announced a 10-year agreement with property owners of Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, MI, for future Electric Forest weekends.
According to MLive, Norm Halbower (part of Double JJ Ranch ownership), came to an agreement with AEG Live once the former property owners (Progressive Resorts LLC) failed to make payments related to the property, forfeiting opportunities to reclaim the ranch.
The July festival has hosted some of electronic music’s most notorious acts since 2011, including: Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Kaskade, Big Gigantic, Passion Pit, Benni Benassi, A-Trak, EOTO, Baauer, Zeds Dead, Excision, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Schoolboy Q, and Michigan’s own The Macpodz, Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers, The Ragbirds and Detroit’s own GRiZ (GrizMatik), Dantiez Saunderson B2B Kevin Saunderson and Danny Brown.
