As part of BBC Radio 1’s Fire in the Booth web series, Danny Brown performed a five-minute freestyle for UK DJ, rapper and show host Charlie Sloth.

Detroit-native rapper Danny Brown succeeded in showing his improvisational rhyming strength to the cadence of hit tracks, including: Earl Sweatshirt’s “Chum” and Drake’s “0-100,” in addition to UK grime tracks, such as Wiley’s “Morgue,” and “Eskimo.”

Towards the end of the freestyle, Brown reaches for his iPhone, but not until after releasing a relentless slew of “off-the-dome” rhymes. Unlike Troy Ave‘s unfortunate freestyle encounter with Sway Calloway, the Detroit rap giant did so without trying to fool his audience.
