Detroit’s music film super-duo The Right Brothers (Jamin Townsley and Andy Miller) announced a city-wide scavenger hunt Friday morning, in anticipation of their new Passalacqua-infused short film “The Baptism.”
The film, which features music by Passalacqua and production by Flint Eastwood’s Jax Anderson (and her brother Seth – who together comprise the duo SYBLYNG), has only been shown once – at Passalacqua’s July 26 record release party for their sophomore album CHURCH. The release party was hosted by Detroit’s ASSEMBLE, and featured performances by Passalacqua, SYBLYNG, Tunde Olaniran and others.
The scavenger hunt setup by the Right Brothers includes 15 posters for “The Baptism,” which have been placed in different areas around Detroit. In conjunction with these posters, are attached DVD copies of the new film, unreleased cuts of Passalacqua’s CHURCH and the entire Right Brothers music video anthology. Clues via the filmmaker’s Instagram accounts will be posted as the scavenger hunt progresses.
