Diplo’s Mad Decent record label will bring the Mad Decent Block Party tour to the Detroit-area August 16, with the help of some of the label’s favorite associates.
Mad Decent, a Philadelphia-based record label founded by DJ/producer/rapper/songwriter Diplo, has offered fans a “block party” concert tour, since 2008, showcasing current label artists in more than 22 cities nationwide. The Detroit performance will take place at Rochester Hills’ Meadow Brook Music Festival, and feature: Diplo, Dillion Francis, Flosstradamus, I See Monstas, Keys N Krates, RiFF RAFF and Zeds Dead.
Diplo’s booming online following (especially social media, such as Instagram and Facebook) has contributed to international success since his DJ debut in 2002. The Los Angeles-based artist is also part of the electronic/dancehall group Major Laser, and has worked on production for artists such as: M.I.A., Iggy Azalea, Santogold, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, No Doubt, Justin Bieber, Usher and Snoop Lion.
Diplo’s “Random White Dude Be Everywhere” mixtape was made available for pre-order on July 29. See the full details for the new Diplo release here.
