New Jersey-based publishing house Dynamite Entertainment has announced the fall 2014 debut of a comic book series starring the “Godfather of Shock Rock” himself – Alice Cooper, according to THR.

The September premier of Alice Cooper No. 1 will introduce fans to a graphic-driven, fantasy story-series, in which Alice Cooper is the defender of human dreams. The monthly comic will include contributions from Jennifer Blood artist Eman Casallos and renowned X-Files writer Joe Harris.

“There is so much you can do in the form of a comic that we’d never been able to do on stage,” Cooper said.  “It’s just a different way of storytelling, and it really has almost limitless possibilities. We’re looking forward to stretching the existing boundaries of the comic medium again. We have new stories to tell, but we’ll do it with the same theatrical, sinister sensibility that comes with the name ‘Alice Cooper’. This is just the beginning! Welcome to my new Nightmares!”

Alice Cooper No. 1 will be released via paperback and digital formats in September 2014.
