Radio Reddit, a Reddit-associated music service dedicated to showcasing Reddit user musicians, has chosen Detroit for its live event debut on Thursday, May 22.
Radio Reddit is a division of Reddit.com which allows users to upload music to a custom streaming service for listeners to access for free. Listeners are able to “upvote” and “downvote” songs to establish their frequency of airplay. The service has released multiple compilation recordings of user-favorite artists, but the channel is looking to expand its reach by organizing live showcases – the first of which is to be held in Detroit.
The newly-introduced music division of Reddit has chosen electronic artists from Ann Arbor (MI), Toledo (OH), Milwaukee (WI), and Los Angeles (CA) for a one-night-only performance at Detroit’s Old Miami in conjunction with the unveiling of Radio Reddit 2.0. This 21-and-up event will be streamed live via video on Radio Reddit.
The lineup for May 22’s Radio Reddit showcase includes: Clearside, adpotahighway, Flandy, and Rollergirl.
