Local print-weekly Metro Times has released the initial lineup for their 17th-annual Blowout music festival, scheduled for April 30 through May 3, hosted in Hamtramck, Ferndale and Detroit.

 

The event has grown in recent years, providing the Detroit-area with 300 local acts spread across more than 20 venues. Sponsors for 2014’s Blowout includes: Faygo, Svedka (vodka), Shock Top, Rip It (energy drink), and Detroit’s newest tech-based shuttle service Uber.

 

Metro Times has released the initial lineup for 2014’s Blowout festival, but promises further lineup announcements “soon.”

 

Blowout 17 has already announced performances by: After Dark Amusement Park, Awesome Jarvis and the Whales, Bill Bondsman, Broadzilla, Electric Six, Flint Eastwood, The Hentchmen, Howling Diablos, Humons, Jack and the Bear, Jamaican Queens, James Linck, Jaws That Bite, Kaleido, Mexican Knives, Phantom Cats, Sros Lords, Vonneguts, Wasabi Dream, Whiskey Charmers, White Shag, Woven Tangles, Zombie Jesus the Chocolate Sunshine Band and countless others.

 

Early bird tickets are available for $20. (Standard pricing will be $25.)
