Detroit’s own “Godfather of Shock Rock” has announced the release of a documentary about his life.
The Eagle Rock Entertainment film, titled Super Duper Alice Cooper, documents the rise of Cooper’s fame, his descent into alcoholism and the longevity of his 50-year career in rock-n’-roll. The film is scheduled to be unveiled at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival this April, and features appearances by Elton John, Dee Snyder and Iggy Pop.
Cooper recently released a trailer for the documentary, which shares a glimpse of what can be expected from the full 97-minute film.
“I got lost in the character,” Cooper says during the trailer. “I had that one second of – what insanity are you in right now?”
