This summer, some of hip-hop’s most all-star names will tour together, including Public Enemy, Ice-T, Naughty by Nature, and Grandmaster Melle Mel & Scorpio. Ice-T started The Art of Rap Festival Tour last year in partnership with SiriusXM’s classic ’80s and ’90s hip-hop satellite radio station Backspin. This year’s tour consists of eight dates, beginning in Dallas in July and ending with a Detroit-area stop at Freedom Hill Amphitheatre on August 6.
The tour takes its name from Ice-T’s 2012 documentary Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap, and this year the roster also includes the Sugarhill Gang, Mobb Deep, Kurtis Blow, and EPMD. Tickets range from $21.00 for general admission lawn to $145.50 for seats in the front of the pavilion. For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.
