As one of the most highly-anticipated performances of Sunday evening’s 2014 MTV Movie Awards, Eminem took the stage with soon-to-be touring partner Rihanna to perform their 2013 MMLP2 hit “The Monster.”
The duo’s MTV performance was reminiscent of their official music video for “The Monster” as the stage was adorned with flaming rocks, flashing red lights, and a constant stream of heavy fog. Eminem donned his recently reinvented blonde hair, as well as his newly trademarked jacket and dog tags. (Just in time for the 14th anniversary of his infamous 2000 MTV Movie Awards performance.)
The two hip hop superstars will begin their three-city Monster Tour in August, visiting Los Angeles, CA (Rose Bowl), East Rutherford, NJ (MetLife Stadium), and Eminem’s hometown of Detroit, MI (Comerica Park).
