The Detroit Symphony Orchestra has announced its first-ever “Om @ the Max”: a yoga class to be accompanied by live chamber music inside the Max M. Fisher Music Center.

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at 10:30 a.m.

Eight-year DSO Librarian and Yoga Shelter instructor Ethan Allen will lead the class. The hour-long instruction will be serenaded by a DSO string quartet, which has prepared a special repertoire to match the rhythm of each yoga movement.

Directly following the session, attendees will be treated to a raw juice bar and healthy snack buffet in the Orchestra Hall atrium.

Tickets are available for $20 general admission.
